If you’ve always wanted to take scuba diving lessons, experience unparalleled adventure and see the world beneath the waves, this is where it starts.
The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases. The first is knowledge development, which covers everything you need to know about basic diving techniques, terminology, and safety procedures. The second is confined water dives, which are training sessions conducted in a pool or in water with pool-like conditions. You will have the opportunity to get used to the equipment you will use and to practice basic diving skills and safety techniques. The third is open water dives. This is the main objective: to make your first dives in the ocean. During the four dives you will develop various skills underwater and on the surface to ensure that you have the safety skills and competencies required to dive. As soon as your instructor approves your open water training dives you will earn your PADI Open Water Diver certification! This means that you will be able to rent scuba equipment and dive anywhere in the world to a depth of up to 18 meters for life.
The open water practices can be done in one of the excursions that we organize near Bogotá to Lake Tota, which is 4 hours away by road. Transportation is not included, you can travel in private cars or we will help you coordinate transportation with one of our operators. You can also join one of the excursions that we organize monthly for Isla del Rosario - Cartagena. Transportation, accommodation and food will be assumed by the candidate.
