Scuba Junkie provides daily dive trips to more than 25 islands in the Celebes Sea. Whether you want macro diving at Mabul and Kapalai or wish to dive with sharks and turtles at Sipadan Island (frequently voted in the top 10 dives sites in the world) Scuba Junkie will take you there.

The triangle between Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines is one of the most bio-diverse marine habitats in the world. Strong ocean currents, deep sea trenches and sea mounts, combined with active volcanic islands have created a complex oceanographic environment that is paradise for divers. The beauty of this region lies in its diversity. The dive spots and marine life vary from island to island and we recommend every visitor dive at least a few of them in order to fully appreciate what this area has to offer, from swirling barracuda to juvenile frogfish. Based in Semporna, Scuba Junkie is the only dive operation to visit more than 25 islands here on a daily basis.

No prior experience with scuba diving is necessary, but you need to be in reasonable physical health. Please check the PADI Divers Medical Questionnaire and Medical Statement which you can find on this link https://www.padi.com/sites/default/files/documents/2020-08/10346E_Diver_Medical_Form.pdf, if you answer YES then you will need to get it signed & stamped by a doctor saying you are fit to dive before you arrive.

What to expect

You learn the basic safety guidelines and skills needed to dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional. When you make your open water dive, you’ll practice some more skills in shallow water to prepare for your adventure. Get ready to:

1) Go over the scuba equipment you use to dive and how easy it is to move around underwater with your gear.

2) Find out what it’s like to breathe underwater.

3) Learn key skills that you’ll use during every scuba dive.

4) Have fun swimming around and exploring.

5) Hear about becoming a certified diver through the PADI Open Water Diver course.
