Once you book your Open Water Diver course, we will contact you to plan your dives and send over your eLearning.
Step 1: eLearning
Complete the knowledge development in your own language and on your own time via eLearning. Ideally, you'll complete the knowledge reviews and the final exam before arriving to the dive center to start the practical (diving) part of your course.
Time commitment: 5–10 hours total.
Step 2: Let's go diving!
Awesome, you've done your homework. Now it's time to go diving!
Day 1: Be welcomed at our dive center
Relax! It's all going to be OK. Have a coffee or a tea and let's talk SCUBA DIVING!
Your instructor will show you how to assemble/disassemble and use scuba gear. Then, you'll get geared up to take your first breaths underwater. You'll spend this day practicing scuba skills and building confidence in our swimming pool before diving in the ocean the following days.
We will take necessary breaks and Bella will prepare fresh sandwiches for lunch.
Day 2: Dive in the ocean for the first time
You'll do 2 dives up to 12 meters deep. Usually these will be boat dives, although they may also be shore dives depending on weather conditions. On these dives, you will repeat many skills that you already mastered in the swimming pool the previous day. This time, in the ocean – exploring a whole new world!
After the dives, you will be gifted our custom diving logbook to log your first ever dives. You'll be welcome to enjoy a drink, hang out, and Bella will have fresh sandwiches ready for lunch.
Day 3: Be amazed at the underwater world!
This is what it's all about! You'll have mastered most skills by now which means more time spent DIVING and taking in everything around you!
On this day you'll do 2 dives up to 18 meters. You'll already go to some of our favourite and most loved dive sites on the island! Take it all in and enjoy.
Congrats! You did it!
You have completed your eLearning, training sessions in the pool, and 4 open water dives. You are now a certified Open Water diver! Let's hang out back at the dive center with a drink and a bite to eat and reflect on the last great days of learning diving together!
This is only the beginning. As an Open Water Diver, you will be allowed to rent diving equipment and dive anywhere in the world down to 18 meters. Your certification never expires!
