Atlantic Divers Tenerife, one of the longest running family operated Dive Centres in Southern Tenerife near Las Galletas, offering the best scuba diving since 1987. The Dive Centre is now owned by Claus from Denmark who during the Covid-19 pandemic decided to make a drastic career change leaving a job as lawyer in Dubai behind him to pursue a lifelong dream of owning his own Dive Centre.

We are very dedicated and invested in providing a fun and safe diving experience. We have highly qualified and experienced instructors and take pride in maintaining our 100 % safety record.

Our centre has full training facilities, compressor, equipment washing facilities, full equipment for hire, friendly and professional staff and a great location with lots of surrounding restaurants and bars to chill, relax and make new friends after the dive.

Requirements

  • Minimum age: 10+
  • Min. certification: None

  • No prior experience with scuba diving is required. You must be in good physical health and be able to float for 10 minutes and swim 200 m unaided and without stopping.

What to expect

So, you’re ready to become a certified scuba diver? Awesome! The PADI Open Water Diver course is your ticket to underwater adventures, and it’s broken down into three main parts:


1. Knowledge Development: This is where you get the lowdown on all things scuba. Your dive center hooks you up with materials to read and watch, covering basic techniques, cool terms, and safety tips. You’ll check in with your instructor to make sure you’re getting it all.


2. Confined Water Dives: In these sessions, you’ll practice essential diving skills and learn how to handle emergencies in a controlled environment. It’s super fun and a great way to get comfortable with your gear in a safe setting.


3. Open Water Dives: Now for the real deal – diving in the ocean! You’ll do four dives, showing off your skills both underwater and at the surface. Once your instructor gives you the thumbs up, you’re officially a PADI Open Water Diver. That means you can rent gear and dive anywhere in the world, up to 18 meters deep, for life!
