PADI 5 Star Dive Center

Scuba Legends Dive Center Lanzarote is located in Puerto del Carmen, within the commercial centre “Puerto Cinco”. You find us right on top of the Dino Express Supermarket.

Within just a few minutes we reach some of the most amazing dive sites of Lanzarote.

In the dive center you’ll find a gear room with cleaning and drying area, a bathroom with shower and a classroom for teaching. In our little shop you can purchase basic dive and snorkelling equipment as well as useful accessories. The big terrace just in front offers an amazing sea view and is perfect to chill out after your dives, fill in your log book or just to have a drink.

Our highly experienced instructors provide the most complete training and show absolute respect for standards and safety. We make the difference! Diving with us offers you knowledge gained through decades of working in the dive industry all around the world. Requirements

  • Minimum age: 12+
  • Min. certification: Open Water Certification required
  • Min logged dives: 4 logged dives required
  • PADI Open Water Diver or qualifying entry-level certification.

What to expect

The PADI Advanced Open Water Course (AOWC) requires 5 adventure dives. Each dive covers one adventure theme from the eLearning theory. The deep diving and underwater navigation training is obligatory, the other three adventures can be chosen by you, depending on availability.


Nowadays the theory is done online via PADI eLearning. The advantage is, you can read the 5 chapters before your arrival in Lanzarote and we can start straight with the fun part - diving! Like this you can get the most out of your holiday time. 

The 5 dives of the AOWC will be separated into 2 training days. We usually start at about 8:15 in Playa Chica and finish the day between 1-3 pm. Depending on the choice of adventure dives, the first day is usually a bit longer, as we are probably doing three dives, and two dives on the second day.

At the moment, in addition to Underwater Navigation and Deep Diving, we offer the following adventure dives, which are included in the price:

-Peak Performance Buoyancy (highly recommended!)

-Delayed Surface Marker Buoy Deployment (great skill for your own safety)

-Rescue Adventure (Get a first idea of rescue training) 

Contact us prior or after booking for further info and extra costs of other adventure dives such as Wreck Diving, Boat Diving, Sidemount, Full face Mask, Enriched Air (Nitrox), Dive Against Debris etc.

For every adventure dive you complete, you can earn credit toward PADI® specialty certifications.

How to get there

If possible we meet directly at the dive and snorkel site in Playa Chica (P.º Barrilla, 3, 35510 Tías, Las Palmas, Spain). Please be at the meeting point 5 min before. Once arrived you will see a bunch of divers and dive center cars. You will find our team near by the last bench, when walking from the restaurant towards the sandy parking (ocean on left hand side). Look out for blue IKEA bags and you will spot us easily :) If your accommodation is not in walking distance and you do not have a rental car, please inform us early enough to assist you in terms of your arrival.
