Travelsub is a 5 star dive centre and one of the oldest diving schools in Tenerife, operating since 1999. Our staff and crew are advocates for the ocean and its conservation but our true passion lies in educating divers and bringing people closer to the sea as we explore the breath taking underwater sites of Tenerife. 

We are strategically located in Puerto Colon (Colon Harbour) in Costa Adeje, less than 100 meters away from our boats.

Our team is multi national and speaks English, Spanish, Italian, French, Russian, Dutch and German.  Our staff is prepared to assist and guide you every step of the way and don´t worry, we do all the heavy lifting! Our school offers an organised and relaxed social atmosphere, making it the perfect place to learn and meet other people who share your interests as well as discuss dives and catch up with your instructors. Requirements

  • Minimum age: 10+
  • Min. certification: None
  • Min logged dives: None
  • No prior experience with scuba diving is required. You must be in good physical health and be able to float for 10 minutes and swim 200 m unaided and without stopping.

What to expect

The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases. The first is Knowledge Development, which covers everything you need to know about basic techniques, terminology and safety procedures in scuba diving.

The second is Confined Water Dives, which are training sessions conducted in a pool or water with pool-like conditions. They give you the opportunity to get used to the gear you'll be using and practice the basic skills of diving and techniques to keep you safe.

The third is your Open Water Dives. This is what it's all about - you'll make your first dives in the ocean! During these four dives, you'll perform various skills underwater and on the surface to make sure you're a safe and competent diver. The training portion usually only takes up the first part of the dive, meaning that you will get to spend a big part of your time diving with your instructor and exploring the underwater world.

As soon as your open water training dives are approved by your instructor you will be certified as a PADI Open Water Diver! This means you will be allowed to rent diving equipment and dive anywhere in the world down to 18 meters, lifelong! But always with a buddy!

Pick Up Information

Pick up place has to be between Los cristianos and La Caleta. Tell us the location of your hotel and we can pick you up in front of the entrance.
