DiveBase Tenerife is situated in Alcala (Guia de Isora), in Tenerife´s west coast.

In Tenerife diving and weather conditions are amazing all year and divers are spoiled by stunning, underwater volcanic rock formations and vibrant marine life including turtles, angelsharks, dolphins, rays and more wonderful creatures.

What to expect

This covers the final phase of the PADI Open Water Diver course: your Open Water Dives. You'll make the most of your time in location by completing phase one (Knowledge Development) and phase two (Confined Water Dives) before you travel. These are the three phases that make up the full PADI Open Water Diver course. Knowledge Development covers everything you need to know about basic techniques, terminology and safety procedures in scuba diving. Confined Water Dives are training sessions conducted in a pool or water with pool-like conditions. They give you the opportunity to get used to the gear you'll be using and practice the basic skills of diving and techniques to keep you safe. Open Water Dives are the first ocean dives you'll ever do. During four dives in Open Water and a refresh dive in confined water, you'll perform various skills under water and on the surface to make sure you're a safe and competent diver!
