CID Lanzarote is a 5 Star IDC and Career Development Centre, the highest PADI dive centre rating. We are located just 5mins from the main diving area and a short walk from the beach in Puerto del Carmen.

The sub-tropical Atlantic waters off Lanzarote offer some of the best diving spots in Europe, with its variety of stunning topography! Besides the fabulous underwater scenery, the waters around Lanzarote are teaming with a huge variety of aquatic life. There is an abundance of fish life guaranteed on every dive. Whether you love the larger inhabitants like the endangered Angel sharks (one of the only places in the world you can see these beautiful sharks) or the micro environment of Nudibranches, and not forgetting those beautiful Sea Horses - we have something for every taste! Requirements

  • Minimum age: 12+
  • Min. certification: Open Water Certification required
  • Min logged dives: 4 logged dives required
  • PADI Open Water Diver or qualifying entry-level certification. Divers will need to complete the standard PADI medical questionnaire and if necessary obtain a fit to dive letter form a doctor

What to expect

The Advanced Open Water Diver course is all about advancing your skills. Available also in eLearning, the first phase of this training is Knowledge Development, which includes lessons on popular specialty dives. In the second phase you'll practice underwater navigation and buoyancy, try deep diving and make three specialty dives of your choosing. During the final phase, after some skill practice with your instructor, you'll make five open water dives. There's no exam because this course is truly about having fun and gaining experience. For every specialty dive you complete, you can earn credit toward PADI® specialty certifications. Plus we offer a free dive after your course
