Take another step and start teaching others !! The PADI IDC (instructor development course) trains experienced divers to become professional instructors, combining teaching skills with dive theory and practical experience.
The PADI IDC typically takes place over 7 days and is divided into two main components:
Assistant Instructor (AI) Course: Covers foundational teaching skills, dive theory, and PADI standards. Includes classroom presentations, confined water teaching, and workshops. Prepares you to assist in courses and teach select PADI programs.
Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) Program: Builds on the AI course with full teaching development. Focuses on conducting all core PADI programs independently. Emphasizes open water teaching, problem-solving, and real-world scenarios.
