An EFR Instructor Course is designed to train individuals to teach others how to provide emergency first aid in various situations. At Neptune Dive Center, the EFR Instructor Course is conducted by Course Director Johan Blixt, who is an experienced dive professional with extensive knowledge in emergency first response and diving-related injuries.
During the course, you can expect to learn and practice skills such as assessing an emergency situation, performing CPR, providing first aid for injuries such as burns and fractures, and using an automated external defibrillator (AED). You will also learn how to teach these skills to others, including divers and non-divers.
The EFR Instructor Course at Neptune Dive Center is typically conducted over a single. You will attend classroom sessions where you will learn the theory behind emergency first response and practice the necessary skills. On the second day, you will practice teaching these skills to other students and receive feedback from the instructor.
To participate in the EFR Instructor Course, you must hold a current EFR Primary and Secondary Care certification or equivalent from another organization.
