PADI Discover Scuba Diving

Located on the northern beach of the island, Pro Dive International Dive Center offers quick access to the stunning reefs in Cozumel Island.

The center accommodates divers of all levels, providing up to four daily dives, including optional night dives for groups of six or more.

Furthermore also organizes daily excursions to explore the majestic Cenotes on the mainland. The diving schedule includes two morning dives at 8:00 AM and two afternoon dives at 1:00 PM, conducted consecutively without returning to the center between dives.

The daily cenote excursion is highly recommended. It begins near the Playa del Carmen ferry pier, where participants are transported to the cenotes for two tank dives in different areas, complete with a picnic of sandwiches and non-alcoholic drinks between dives. Dive groups are kept small, with only four divers per instructor, adhering to safety regulations. The excursion includes transportation within the Riviera Maya, entrance fees, a lamp, a cavern guide, and the aforementioned refreshments (note: taxi and ferry fees in Cozumel are not covered).

Participants should be aware that some cenotes charge up to MXN 1000 for camera use or may prohibit them altogether. The water temperature is around 24 degrees Celsius (75 degrees Fahrenheit), so a 5 mm wetsuit is recommended; the center can include one in the package upon request. Divers must complete a local reef dive before cenote dives to ensure adequate buoyancy and diving skills for safety. The minimum age for participating in cenote dives is 15 years old.
