PADI 5 Star Dive Center

Diving the Crab - Nomads is an experienced 5* Dive Resort on Diani Beach in Southern Kenya.

The dive center has been taking people diving since 1985, making them one of Kenya's most established and reputable dive operations.

A team of PADI instructors offer a range of recreational PADI courses and fun dives throughout the day. Top experiences include Funguo House Reef Wreck and the chance to see turtles, macro life and whale sharks (Nov- Feb).

Equipment is well maintained and the center was recently awarded the 'Pure Air' certification for the quality and cleanliness of their tank filling procedures.

Every month, Diving the Crab works with the marine centre to educate and organize large beach clean-up events. Strong swimmers target areas which are only accessible via boat, while the rest of the community targets beaches accessible from road. The support from the community is amazing!

No prior experience with scuba diving is necessary, but you need to be in reasonable physical health.

What to expect

DSD is a great experience program, it allows you to try diving under the direct supervision of an instructor.

The first day is a pool session usually from 2-4.30pm there is a bit of theory and a few skills.

The second day you meet at the dive center at 8 am to go out by boat for 2 open water dives, you will be back around 12.30/1 pm. These are two fun dives and you won't be expected to do any skills.
