If you've always wanted to take diving lessons, experience an adventure like no other, and see the world under the waves, this is where it begins.
The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases. The first is Knowledge Development, which covers everything you need to know about basic diving techniques, terminology, and safety procedures. The second is Confined Water Immersions, which are training sessions performed in a pool or water with pool-like conditions. They give you an opportunity to get used to the equipment you will use and to practice basic diving skills and techniques to stay safe. The third is your open water dives. This is what it is all about: you will be making your first ocean dives! During four dives, you will perform various underwater and surface skills to ensure that you are a safe and competent diver. The training part usually only takes up the first part of the dive, which means you will spend a large part of your time diving with your instructor and exploring the underwater world. As soon as your instructor approves your open water training dives, you will be certified as a PADI Open Water Diver! This means that you will be allowed to rent diving equipment and dive anywhere in the world for up to 18 meters for life.
