Your PADI certification never expires; but if you haven't been diving in a while, it's better to be over-prepared than risk a problem because you forget something important.
Upon arrival at Scubaversity, students will be welcomed by the team and introduced to the course. The purpose of the refresher course will be outlined, emphasizing regaining confidence and updating diving skills. The instructor will explain the schedule and safety protocols.
The session begins with a review of essential scuba diving theory. Students will revisit key concepts like buoyancy control, emergency procedures, and equipment handling. Diagrams and visual aids will reinforce the learning process, helping students reconnect with the technical aspects of diving.
Students will move to the pool area, equipped with top-quality scuba gear. The instructor will guide them through practical exercises like mask clearing, regulator recovery, and underwater buoyancy techniques. These hands-on sessions are designed to rebuild familiarity and confidence with diving procedures.
The refresher course concludes with a review of the skills practiced. The instructor will provide feedback on each student’s progress, address any questions. From there, your instructor will take you to Bass Lake, where you will perform all the skills you have regained in an open water enviroment, ensuring readiness for open water diving. Final paperwork will be completed, and students will receive their updated certification.
