What to expect

Meet your instructor at Kohala Divers dive center in Kawaihae. After an introduction follow your instructor or ride with them to our beautiful private training pool just 7 minutes away.

Learn the basic safety guidelines and skills needed to dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional.

1) Go over the scuba equipment you use to dive and feel how easy it is to move around underwater with your gear.

2) Find out what it’s like to breathe underwater.

3) Learn key skills that you’ll use during every scuba dive.

4) Have fun swimming around and exploring.

5) Hear about becoming a certified diver through the PADI Open Water Diver course or joining on a boat day for discover scuba ocean adventure.

Meet at the dive center

Our dive shop is our central meeting place, with classroom area for instruction and paperwork. Local area hotel/resort pick-up available from certain resorts. We provide transport to our near-by pool and our near-by pier.
