Welcome to the PADI Rescue Diver Course, a true test of confidence and ability. This class will challenge you to rise above circumstance and situation to be the lifeline for others. The Rescue Diver course is where great divers are forged; honing their skills, situational awareness, and self-confidence. Do you have what it takes?
Students will convene at the Trident Adventures shop/Classroom to fill out all appropriate paperwork and review the agenda for the course program. Upon completion of the educational material, the class will review together before beginning the water-based training. This is where it gets fun. Students will be subjected ten potential scenarios to rescue a victim, techniques and strategies to successfully rescue the victim as safely and effectively as possible. These drills will intensify and culminate into, what our staff has dubbed, The Gauntlet. This is an intense, trial-by-fire, self-rescue drill designed to test the students situational awareness, ability to problem solve, and maintain control. Successful completion of this stress-test will build immense confidence and it's just down-right fun! Students will then go on to complete a written exam and a demonstration of an in-water rescue scenario of a victim. Upon graduation, students will be certified PADI Rescue Divers and will qualify for the PADI Divemaster Course.
Day one starts with paperwork and confined water. We meet at the shop first to ensure all paperwork is properly completed prior to training.
