Advance your diving skills! Get certified to dive to 30 metres/100 feet while practicing valuable skills such as underwater navigation, buoyancy control, rescue skills, fish identification or wreck diving. The course includes 5 adventure dives.
There are five Adventure Dives in the PADI Advanced Open Water course, which takes 2 days.
There is no exam with this course. You will read 5 chapters from the manual and answer the Knowledge Reviews. Your instructor will give you thorough briefings before each dive and you will practice some skills on land before going under the water.
On day 1 of the course we go to our local house reef, Khao Na Yak, and do 3 dives: Navigation, Peak Performance Buoyancy and Rescue. This is a shallow dive site with plenty of space for practicing skills. You will learn how to navigate using both a compass and natural environmental skills. You will have time to practice your buoyancy skills with hints and tips from your instructor. You will learn self-rescue skills and how to deal with a panicked or missing diver. This is a fun day with plenty of action!
On day 2 of the course we go to a local wreck and do the last two course dives: Deep Dive and either Wreck Dive or Fish Identification (your choice). Learn how colours change when you dive deep, and what extra equipment you may need, or physical effects you should consider when planning a deep dive. The second dive you can choose either Wreck Diving or Fish Identification.
On each day we will pick you up from your hotel in the morning and drop you back again at the end of the day. Your instructor will help you fill in your logbook and sign off each dive.
After completing the course you will be certified to dive to 30m with a buddy, anywhere in the world.
We pick up from local hotels in the Khao Lak and Bang Niang area. Our driver will pick you up outside the lobby of your hotel. He will have a paper with the Sea Dragon logo and your name.
Please indicate your hotel name and address on the checkout page
The dive center will reconfirm your pick up time and location at the latest one day in advance
