Highlights

The main objective of the PADI IDC is to teach you how you manage divers through mentor-ship for all the PADI programs from Discover Scuba Diving to PADI Divemaster and it will prepare you to function as an effective PADI Instructor by thoroughly familiarizing you with the PADI system and all its diver training programs.

This is a two-part course - the Assistant Instructor (AI) course and the Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) program.

Requirements

Minimum age: 18+
Min. certification: Advanced Open Water Certification required
Min logged dives: +50 logged dives required
. Hold a PADI Divemaster or Assistant Dive Instructor qualification with current paid membership of PADI, or an equivalent leadership level certification with another training organization. If you have been out of Divemaster teaching status for a long period, please let us know as some retraining may be required prior to the course. . Have proof of 60 logged dives . Have medical clearance of fitness to dive, signed and dated by a doctor within the past 12 months* . Emergency First Response training within the last 24 months

What to expect

The Instructor Development Course is broken down into different sections:

Classroom Presentations, Confined and Open Water presentations, standards and theory exams are the core parts of the IDC.

We run a 14-day Instructor Development Course. Then you need to complete the independent and PADI examiner led 2-day PADI Instructor Examination (IE)

Our dedicated workshops will give you an extensive knowledge of other aspects of the dive industry, such as sales and marketing, intro to technical diving, basic scuba diving equipement maintenance and more
