Pisces Diving Charter-Sodwana Bay

PADI 5 Star Dive Center

Welcome to the Pisces Family!

Dive with a small dive centre where your interest and abilities matter!

We have been operating in Sodwana Bay since 1994 and want to show you the best of our reefs! Pisces stands for personal, safety, fun, caring for the environment.  We operate full time from the unspoiled shores of Sodwana Bay, situated in the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, South Africa's first World Heritage Site established in 1999.

Pisces Diving cater for every level of diver - from first timers, to our scuba diving pioneers with more dives than one can count.  We cater for groups, schools, clubs and individuals.  Impi, our 8-meter semi-rigid orange super duck with brand new twin 115 Mercury engines is custom made to ensure your comfort - we have more than enough space for you, all your technical gear and modern state of the art cameras.

With the Pisces Team's extensive knowledge of not only the pristine marine ecosystems Sodwana has to offer, but also the enchanting historical background of the land known as "Little one on its own" a.k.a Sodwana Bay.

We offer dive excursions to Sodwana Bay's extensive range of dive sites; based on your qualifications and requirements.

Our highly trained DM's have attended a Reef Orientation Course and Fish ID Course to ensure you receive the best of the best to offer.  Pre- and post-dive briefings are held at our gazebo before and after each dive by the dive leader (Dive Master or Instructor).  We cover all information from the boat procedures, our safe diving practices, where we are diving and what you can expect to see within the particular or specific reef.  This is done with the use of our marine reference books on the beach and as we dive everyday, we successfully know where to find what you are looking for!

We like to encourage a relaxed environment so you get to enjoy your diving holiday to the fullest.  Our dive times are based solely on the depth and maximum allowable bottom times.  Why cut your dive short when you have more than enough air and are nowhere near deco limits?  There's no need to rush!

We believe in healthy living and protecting our environment by not having lollipop or any other candy packets polluting our precious natural environment.   After your dive, the Pisces Diving Beach Crew will wash your gear and diving equipment in environmentally friendly shampoo.  We do provide fresh water buckets for your cameras and dive computers, if required.

We offer:

#Boat based snorkel and Ocean Experience trips for divers & non divers alike (Children are welcome - based on favourable ocean conditions and with the parents overseeing their children)

#Scuba diving excursions for all qualified divers

#Double tank dives for groups from 2 to 6 divers

#Gear Hire

#PADI Courses

#Nitrox dives

#Photographic excursions

#Sardine Run - in Port St Johns, pricing & details on request

#Scuba Diving internships - individual and personal training

Sodwana Bay is home to the southernmost coral reefs in Africa.  Each reef in Sodwana is measured in miles by its distance from our sheltered launch site called Jesser Point.  Our reefs are special in that their coral is layered up on sandstone and are the remains of the ancient sand dunes - our reefs are believed to be 4000 years old!  There are over 1200 species of fish and about 95 species of hard and soft corals, sponges and other invertebrates recorded in Sodwana Bay.

If you are looking for an adventurers paradise look no further than Sodwana Bay.  With countless activities in the area to choose from you will be pressed for time to squeeze in the activities to your holiday.

It is a place where golden shores are caressed by the warm Indian Ocean, it hosts one of the Top 10 dive destinations in the world as well as the world's highest naturally vegetated sand dunes.

An adrenalin packed launch through the surf, the possibility of seeing flying fish, dolphins and whale sightings on route.  Once you have reached the reef you roll back into the warm Indian Ocean and join the ocean creatures in their mesmerizing environment.

Here you will see magnificent underwater topography, brilliantly coloured corals, exciting swim throughs, cleaning stations, rays, turtles, eels and vast shoals of fish.  If you are lucky enough you may get to swim alongside whale, tiger, bull, ragged tooth, hammerhead and reef sharks, lets not forget the exquisitely aloof manta rays.
