PADI 5 Star Dive Center

Catalina Divers Supply is the longest-running full-service diving facility on Catalina Island. 

Our new dive shop, conveniently located on the ground floor of the Catalina Casino, offers gear rental, classes, retail and more. We have a full slate of dive classes from Discover Scuba to Instructor. Guided dives, snorkel tours and boat dives all provide exciting options for exploring the underwater world. 

We've been in the business of helping divers enjoy the natural beauty and splendor of Catalina Island's marine environment for over 50 years. Our direct efforts are largely responsible for the construction, maintenance and preservation of the Casino Point Underwater Park. We continue working to ensure Catalina Island remains an exceptional diving location for years to come.

  • Minimum age: 10+
  • Min. certification: None
  • Min logged dives: None
  • No prior experience with scuba diving is necessary, but you need to be in reasonable physical health and be comfortable in the water. You may be required to provide a physician approval.

What to expect

Your Catalina Discover Scuba Diving adventure begins at our dive center, just steps from the iconic Casino Point Dive Park. After a warm welcome, you'll get a quick and easy intro to scuba gear and safety from our expert PADI instructors. Then, it’s time to gear up and step into the crystal-clear waters of Catalina!

Start in shallow water, mastering the basics of breathing and buoyancy before gliding into the vibrant kelp forests. Schools of colorful fish, swaying sea fans, and maybe even a playful sea lion will greet you as you experience the magic of weightlessness underwater.

With your instructor by your side, you’ll explore, discover, and gain confidence in a whole new world. After an exhilarating dive, you’ll surface with unforgettable memories and the thrill of knowing you’ve just taken your first steps into the world of scuba!

Catalina Divers Supply is conveniently located on the ground floor of the historic Catalina Casino building at 1 Casino Way, Avalon, California 90704. Upon arrival, you'll be greeted by our friendly team, ready to assist you with gear rental, purchases, or any questions you may have. Our state-of-the-art dive center offers a full range of amenities, including an indoor classroom, gear servicing, and access to hot showers and restrooms for select bookings. The iconic Casino Point Dive Park is just a few steps away, providing easy access to one of California's premier diving locations.
