If you've always wanted to take scuba diving lessons, experience an unparalleled adventure and discover the underwater world, this is where it all begins.
The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases. The first is Knowledge Development, which covers everything you need to know about basic scuba diving techniques, terminology, and safety procedures. The second is Confined Water Dives, which consist of training sessions conducted in a pool or pool-like conditions. These give you the opportunity to familiarize yourself with the equipment you'll be using and practice basic diving skills and techniques to ensure your safety. The third is Open Water Dives. These are your first dives in the ocean! During four dives, you'll perform various skills underwater and on the surface to ensure you're a safe and competent diver. Typically, the training portion only takes up the first portion of the dive, meaning you'll spend a large portion of your time diving with your instructor and exploring the underwater world. Once your open water training dives are validated by your instructor, you will be certified as a PADI Open Water Diver! This means you will be authorized to rent scuba equipment and dive anywhere in the world up to 18 meters, for life!
