PADI 5 Star Dive Center

The Aquadif diving school offers a complete scuba diving experience, with a modern and well-equipped structure for our PADI training. Our school is located in Alsace (Ostwald exactly) Here is a description of the school:

  1. Swimming pool : The school has a heated swimming pool dedicated to learning and practicing diving. It allows students to train safely, acquire the basics of diving techniques and familiarize themselves with the equipment before embarking on sessions in a natural environment.

  2. Classroom : The school has a classroom for theory and briefings. It allows instructors to deliver certified PADI training, from beginner to advanced levels, and offers an ideal environment to learn the fundamentals of diving and safety concepts.

  3. Fort Gravel Pit : Located in the immediate vicinity, the Fort Gravel Pit is a natural diving site appreciated for its clear water. This site is ideal for open water dives.

  4. Equipment Store : A diving equipment store is attached to the school, offering a full range of quality equipment. Whether for purchases, advice or repair services, the store allows divers to equip themselves directly from experienced professionals.

Requirements

  • Minimum age: 10+

  • No prior experience with scuba diving is required. You must be in good physical health and be able to float for 10 minutes and swim 200 m unaided and without stopping. Please note that completing a theory portion is mandatory for this course (via eLearning or paper materials). If you haven't purchased the required materials or if they are not listed in the inclusions above, please ensure you add them at checkout.

What to expect

The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases. Beginning with an e-learning study, available from home. During this phase, you will learn about scuba equipment, hand signals and terminology, and watch videos on scuba diving techniques. Knowledge development can be done at your own pace, over a few weeks or days. Next, you will practice scuba diving techniques in a pool. During these training sessions, you will become familiar with wearing scuba equipment and learn essential skills such as how to clear water from your mask, perform a pre-dive safety check and perform ascents and descents. When you are ready, you will make your first open water dive. The Open Water Diver course consists of four dives. During each session, you will complete a few exercises before diving with your instructor. After completing your four training dives, you’ll be a certified PADI Open Water Diver for life! Use your certification card anywhere in the world to book dive adventures, rent gear, and dive independently with a buddy to 60 feet (18 meters).
