Highlights

The PADI Enriched Air Diver course is PADI’s most popular specialty scuba course. Why? Because scuba diving with enriched air nitrox gives you more no decompression time, especially on repetitive scuba dives. This is a dry course to qualify.

  • Enriched air, also known as nitrox or EANx, contains less nitrogen than regular air.
  • Breathing less nitrogen means you can enjoy longer dives and shorter surface intervals. No wonder Enriched Air Diver is the most popular PADI® specialty.

Requirements

  • Minimum age: 12+
  • Min. certification: Open Water Certification required
  • Min logged dives: None
  • Minimum logged dives is 4. This is a dry course and no dive is required, you can do 1 or 2 dives or more using enriched air at an extra charge.

What to expect

You’ll learn why diving with air that has higher oxygen and lower nitrogen content gives you more bottom time, along with enriched air equipment considerations. 

During your practical sessions, you'll: 

1) Discuss managing oxygen exposure 

2) Practice analyzing oxygen content in your scuba tank 

3) Set your dive computer for diving with enriched air nitrox.
