Highlights

The PADI Scuba Diver upgrade course is a subset of the PADI Open Water Diver course. If you’re short on time but want to become an open water diver from your current certification of scuba diver, the PADI Scuba Diver upgrade is the only way ̶ particularly if you expect to go scuba diving with a buddy and not a PADI professional.

  • PADI Scuba Divers are trained to dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional to a maximum depth of 12 metres/40 feet.

Package description

Inclusive of

  • 2 open water dives
  • 2 confined water dives (pool or shallow water)
  • Scuba equipment rental (full set)

Requirements

  • Minimum age: 10+
  • Min. certification: None
  • Min logged dives: None
  • You need adequate swimming skills and need to be in good physical health. This is to upgrade you from scuba diver to open water diver. Only 2 confined water sessions and 2 more open water dives are needed. You must already have either your open water paper manual or the PADI eLearning. If you do not have either or these then you will need to purchase new materials from us at an additional cost.

What to expect

The PADI Scuba Diver upgrade course consists of three main phases. The same as your scuba diver course but you'll just finish the required learning with the materials you already should have. The first is Knowledge Development, so you understand the basic principles of scuba diving. This covers the last two of five sections of the Open Water Diver course. The second is the remaining two Confined Water Dives of five dives of the Open Water Diver course. Finally, you'll undertaken your final two Open Water Dives, where you'll use your skills and explore.

Pick up is in central Paphos but others areas can be arranged but there may be a small fuel charge depending on your location.
