The E-Learning course means you can complete the theoretical part all from the comfort of your own home, which leaves you with all the underwater fun to complete with us at Cydive.
Upon arrive at Cydive you will be checked in at our reception desk and introduced to your instructor. Your instructor will introduce you to the other participants and then explain how the course will proceed.
The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main parts:
Theory and knowledge development: this section you will complete at home using the E-learning product. This will cover everything you need to know about basic techniques, terminology and safety procedures in scuba diving. For each section you will have an explanations and a video. If you're having any problems with this section or you have some questions that you would like answered, our team are there to support you.
Confined water dives: these training sessions take place in our own onsite training pool. They give you the opportunity to become familiar with the gear you'll be using and become more confident in the water. You will learn and practice the basic skills of diving as well as techniques to keep you safe under the water as well as learning how to deal with a range of emergency situations should they occur.
Open water dives: This is the reason you started in the first place – diving into the Mediterranean sea! You will complete four open water dives, during these dives you will complete some of the underwater and surface skills you learnt in the pool. You will then get to spend the rest of your time diving with your instructor and exploring the underwater world.
Once you have completed your open water training dives along with all of the skills, filled your logbook and completed your paperwork with your Instructor you are now a fully certified PADI Open Water Diver! This means you are now able to dive all over the world up to 18 meters.
