The PADI Divemaster course is the first professional level in the PADI system. It develops leadership, supervision, rescue, and search & recovery skills, while also qualifying you to assist courses and lead dives. Offered as an Eco Product.
The schedule for the practical components of the Divemaster course is flexible and depends on other PADI courses running, as you will assist with them. You will confirm the schedule with your PADI Course Director and Dive Instructors. We operate on a limited schedule; therefore, you must allow at least 3 weeks to complete the course.
The practical components include:
3 days pool training – demonstration skill circuit, watermanship skills evaluation (swim tests), final written exams, and workshops at the Draper Street dive school.
7 days on the Great Barrier Reef – supervising Open Water and continuing education courses, plus practical assessments and workshops including snorkelling supervision, dive site mapping, guiding certified divers, Discover Scuba Diving workshop, deep diving, search and recovery diving, and dive site coordination.
