As a PADI Rescue Diver you’ll learn to prevent and manage incidents, sharpen your observation skills and help others avoid problems, becoming a safer, more confident diver.
The PADI Rescue Diver course is divided into three sections: Knowledge development, Skill development and Practical application. All three sections will be completed under the professional supervision and guidance of your Divers Den PADI Instructor.
Once you’ve developed your Rescue Diver knowledge at our training centre, it’s time to set off on a two-day one-night experience on our liveaboard vessel OceanQuest. Here you’ll be expertly guided through the practical scenarios out in the open water of the Great Barrier Reef. (please note that open water dives are held on the day boat during March - April 2022 for refit and June- July 2022 minke whale expedition season)
The exact dive schedule during your experience will vary depending on your method of learning ( eLearning or classroom learning). All rescue skills are taught to a COVID safe standard in accordance with PADI guidelines.
