Requirements

  • Minimum age: 10+
  • Min. certification: None
  • Min logged dives: None
  • Please note, diving does require some bit of physical health. Prior to participating in a PADI Discover Scuba Diving, you will need to fill out a medical questionnaire. All answers should be “no”, and any “yes” answers will require physicians clearance obtained at least one day prior to your arrival date. Ask the Dive Center for the digital form.

What to expect

Don’t have a dive certification, not enough time for a full course or not sure if diving is for you?

Come try an introductory day with us! While this is not a certification course, the Discover Scuba Diving Program is a safe, fun, and easy way to get your first experience in the underwater world.

You will be with one of our PADI instructors, learn the basic safety guidelines and skills needed to dive under the direct supervision of a PADI Professional. 

When you make your open water dive, you’ll practice some more skills in shallow water to prepare for your adventure. Go over the scuba equipment you use to dive and how easy it is to move around underwater with your gear. Find out what it’s like to breathe underwater. Learn key skills that you’ll use during every scuba dive. Have fun swimming around and exploring. Hear about becoming a certified diver through the PADI Open Water Diver course. Most of all, have fun!

Meet at the dive center

Divers staying in West End are all within walking distance of the Shop. However, for our divers staying towards West Bay we offer boat transportation for $5 per person per trip (subject to staff and dock availabilities). Please contact us ahead of time to schedule and confirm any pick up arrangements.
