Get ready to discover the underwater world! Before your departure, you will have already completed your theoretical training and your dives in a protected environment (swimming pool) at home. Now it's time to put what you've learned into practice.
This covers the final phase of the PADI Open Water Diver course: your open water dives. You will make the most of your time there by completing Phase 1 (knowledge development) and Phase 2 (contained dives) before leaving on your trip. These are the three phases that make up the complete PADI Open Water Diver course. Knowledge Development covers everything you need to know about basic scuba diving techniques, terminology and safety procedures. Confined dives are training sessions that take place in a swimming pool or swimming pool-like conditions. They give you the opportunity to get used to the equipment you will be using and practice basic diving skills and techniques to keep you safe. Wild dives are the first sea dives you will do. Over the course of four dives, you will perform various skills underwater and on the surface to ensure you are a safe and competent diver. The training portion usually only takes up the first portion of the dive, which means you will spend a lot of your time diving with your instructor and exploring the underwater world.
departures are made from a partner center in Hyères or Lavandou, depending on the organization indicated by the instructor, and the educational requirements.
