At Daktari Surf/ Dive, our PADI MSDT Instructors are passionate about the ocean and want to share the experience with all who train with us. Training is done in your time and if you need more time that is OK too, the aim of our courses are to have confident divers at the end of the course.
The PADI Open Water Diver Course has 3 components, online theory, pool sessions and open water dives.
At the completion of the theory, you are ready to start the practical diving, starting with the pool sessions, where you will learn all the skills to be a safe and competent diver. Then in the open ocean at safe dive sites, you will put the skills learned into practice, while exploring the dive sites and having fun with your Instructor.
At the end of the open water dives, you will complete your logbook and be signed off as a competent PADI Open Water Diver that allows you to dive to 18m anywhere in the world.
You will join our free diver group and be sent messages whenever there is a dive on, it costs nothing to dive with us, unless you need to hire gear and all students get a discount on gear hire and purchases too. We care for our divers and want to see you continue to enjoy this wonderful sport. Join us soon.
Daktari Surf/Dive in Port Fairy is beside the Reardon Theatre, set back off the road. Fully stocked with hire gear, the dive shop is where we meet and collect dive gear, before going to the pool for the confined water sessions.
