Experience new adventures and learn new skills with an instructor by your side. Designed for Open Water divers who want to improve their abilities.
The Advanced Open Water Diver course focuses on expanding your skills. The first phase of this training, learning theory, is also available via e-learning and includes lessons on popular specialty dives. In the second phase, you'll practice underwater navigation and buoyancy control, try deep diving, and complete three specialty dives of your choice. In the final phase, after practicing with your instructor, you'll complete five open water dives. Because this course is meant to be fun and experiential, there is no exam at the end. However, the specialty dives you complete can count toward future PADI® specialty certifications. Why a drysuit? Quite simply, to keep us warm. A drysuit makes all the difference between enjoying cold water diving - or not diving at all. Plus, in colder waters, a drysuit is often the difference between being able to do multiple dives in a day - or just one in a wetsuit.
On the first day (during the week) you will be at the diving school to complete theory and pool practice with the dry suit. The 6 dives in open water will then take place on the weekend.
