Experience the thrill of scuba diving with our PADI Discover Scuba Diving activity! This introduction to the underwater world includes two guided dives: one on a shallow reef at 15 feet and another at 35 feet, both lasting 45 to 60 minutes.
The PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience is a perfect introduction to scuba diving for those who want to try diving without committing to a full certification. Here’s how your adventure will unfold:
You’ll meet us at Cha Cha Cha Dive Shop. One of our friendly instructors will greet you and provide all the necessary equipment for your dive. After a brief introduction, we’ll go over the itinerary and answer any questions you might have to ensure you're ready for your adventure.
Your instructor will guide you through a quick, easy-to-understand briefing, covering dive basics such as how to use your mask, regulator, and BCD (buoyancy control device). You’ll also learn important safety procedures and hand signals for underwater communication. Once everyone’s ready, we’ll set up your gear and head to the boat.
Your first dive will take place on a shallow reef at a depth of up to 15 feet (4.5 meters). This relaxed dive will give you the opportunity to get comfortable underwater, practice your buoyancy control, and enjoy the vibrant marine life in the crystal-clear waters of Cozumel. Expect to see colorful fish, corals, and possibly rays or turtles.
After your first dive, we’ll surface and take a short break. During the surface interval, you’ll have time to relax, hydrate, and discuss your experience with your instructor. You’ll also get the chance to ask any questions you may have.
The second dive will take you to a slightly deeper reef, with a depth of up to 35 feet (10.5 meters). This dive allows you to explore new areas of the reef while continuing to build your skills. Your instructor will guide you through the dive, and you’ll have the chance to see even more fascinating marine life in this stunning underwater ecosystem.
After your two dives, we’ll return to the shop. You’ll have the chance to relax, reflect on your experience, and share what you saw. You’ll also receive a Certificate of Completion to remember your dive experience.
