SCUBA CANCUN is a medium size, family run dive operation based in Cancun that has over 44 years of experience providing divers with fun, safe, and unforgettable experiences scuba diving in Cancun, Cozumel and the Riviera Maya. 

Scuba Cancun is the oldest running dive center in Cancun and the Riviera Maya and prides itself on its excellent service and attention that result in repeat customers year after year. Our dive shop was founded by Captain Luis Hurtado who recently celebrated his 60th anniversary in commercial, military and sport scuba diving. He is the first scuba instructor to teach Scuba Diving in Cancun and still looks forward to providing each and every guest with a memorable diving experience.

Inclusive of

Not inclusive of

  • Wetsuit (shorty)  ( USD 8 )
  • National Park Fees/Marine Park Fees  ( USD 2 ) - mandatory and payable onsite

Requirements

  • Minimum age: 10+
  • Min. certification: None
  • Min logged dives: None
  • No experience with scuba diving required. You must be in good physical health & be able to float for 10 minutes & swim 200m unaided & without stopping. You must have completed your eLearning & confined water dives & be signed off by your instructor.

What to expect

This course allows you to complete your PADI scuba diver certification as long as you have passed the examination of the theoretical part, as well as practice in the pool at home or somewhere else, to only complement it with the part of 2 dives at sea on your vacation.

You must bring the "referral form" letter that proves that you have passed the theoretical examination and constancy of practise at the pool.

Or complete your PADI open water certification in case the theoretical part and 2 dives in the sea have already been approved.

You will need to bring the letter "referral form" that proves that you have passed the theoretical exam and log book with the first 2 dives performed at sea
