Our great passion has been diving for more than 25 years!

The name SCUBA VIVA stands for quality and innovation and has established itself as an owner-bought SME on the Swiss diving market as a well-known PADI 5 * diving specialist. In recent years, in addition to building two new and one online shop with other deliveries, we have owned the other Swiss dive guide "DIVE GUIDE" and belong to the Swiss Air Association.

In our two large shops in Winterthur and Zurich we offer you a rich range and equipment from top brands look after diving & freediving, snorkeling and much more. This also includes an online shop with Click & Collect Service in Winterthur or Zurich.

Throughout the year you will find rights to events, events, weekends and group trips to dive together! We enjoy the great encounters with our customers - one country and under water at all times.

And of course we have a large selection of top PADI courses including e-learning for diving & freediving, for beginners and professionals. The courses can be booked as scheduled group courses or as private courses normal or with a group and are professionally supervised by our experienced 30-person crew.

To take the PADI Open Water Diver course (or PADI Junior Open Diver course), you must be at least 10 years old. You must be able to swim appropriately and be in good health. Previous diving experience is not necessary.

What to expect

This is an eLearning «touch» course, meaning that you study at home using digital tablet materials instead of in location, perfect if you're pushed for time or want to maximise your free time once you've arrived.

The course progresses as follows;

Up to 2 days before the start: at any time - self-study theory with
1st day of the course: 6pm - 8pm | Kick Off/Quick Review Meeting (2 h)
2nd day of the course: 12.30 - 17.00 | 3 pool lessons (4.5 h)
3rd day of the course: 09.00 - 16.00 | 2 open water lessons (6 h & 1 h noon)
4th day of the course: 12.30 - 15.30 | 2 pool lessons (3 h)
5th day of the course: 09.00 - 16.00 | 2 open water lessons (6 h & 1 h noon)

The times are average and can vary.

You complete the theory independently and flexibly in terms of time using e-learning «touch» (off-line).
Two days before the course begins, you must have completed the theory yourself using e-learning «touch».
Your instructor will log in to PADI 48 hours before the course starts and check your result.
You will complete the 5 pool lessons & 4 open water lessons together with a PADI Instructor from SCUBA VIVA.
