Thinking about an island escape? Think Royal Belize.
The 326,700 square foot island has everything you need: stunning views of mainland Belize as well as the other nearby islands, beautifully-appointed cabins, and a skillful friendly staff who are happy to make your stay comfortable. Situated on the western edge of the Belize Barrier Reef, the second largest on Earth, opportunities for enticing activities are at your fingertips. Snorkel the reef and see 100s of varied marine animals, or get picked up from the dock to go hunt barracuda with expert fishing guides.
Wake up to the sunrise over the ocean as the the gentle Caribbean breeze soothes your mind. Swim, sail, play beach volleyball, kayak/paddle board with the local marine life to your heart’s content, or chill on the beach in one of the many secluded hammocks throughout the island. Be treated to excellent meals with snacks in between, including a multi-course dinner every day. Watch the sunset over the mountains beyond the bay. Have a few too many cocktails and make a human pyramid with your friends. Wake up and do it again every day until they literally make you go home(because you will want to stay on the island with Joe, Oscar, Polo,
Chefs Thomas and Patrick, Edward, Clifford, Marco, and Milan forever).
On final night of my stay, our party was treated to an amazing Belize barbecue-style cookout. Under the stars, we feasted and celebrated an incredible experience.
Would I recommend Royal Belize to you, or anyone thinking about an island vacation? The answer is a resounding yes.

An Island Paradise
A visit with GOOD weather --
Sun, calm, little clouds, at times a mild wind, and NO rain!! :)
Island -- Big enough to meet all needs and wants. Many areas of various relaxation! Loungers and hammocks were comfortable and plenty; by rooms, under palm trees, near/or over water, all around the island. So cool to see the sun rise on one side of the island, and set on the other. The sun sets behind the Maya mountains, gorgeous! East side was much calmer than the west side of the island. Paddle boards, kayaks, and Hobie cat were all super fun! Thank you captain Butch for taking us out on the Hobie cat! There were many coral heads to check out snorkeling close to the island. Thank you captain Clifford for dropping us off from the boat, and letting us drift and snorkel back to the island! Big thank you to Milan and Marcio for taking us to spear fish and lobster! And, spotting conch shells!! These 2 gentlemen are fish out of water :)
Service -- Thank you to all! Butch, Glenda, Edwin, and Thomas. Always polite and thoughtful, from sunrise to sunset! They're there to serve and make your day special.
Rooms -- OMG! Windows are large throughout the rooms and showers!! Privacy abounds. No need to get out of bed to see the amazing view! Rooms are spacious and the furniture is perfect fit; modern warmth with solid ocean vibes. Chairs are comfy, nice desk, armoire with drawers and a super plush bed that mad it tough to get out everyday :) Thank you for the fridge, well stocked with Belikin and Landshark beers! There is also a room safe, if necessary. Also, a cool water drink dispenser to help keep hydrated. The water pressure and temperature were good. But remember, fresh water is a precious resource on the island. And, no paper products in the toilet.
Food -- Tasty, authentic, and left you full everyday :P Morning was filled with fruits, banana pancakes/French toast, bacon/sausage, hash browns, eggs.....Lunch felt like dinner at times! Dinner was delicious with homemade soups, salad, short ribs, salmon, lobster, and deserts satisfied the sweet tooth. The snacks between meals were great---I couldn't get enough of the conch ceviche/salsa, and yellow tail sashimi! The last nights outdoor bar-b-que was special! The barracuda (we caught on a fishing trip earlier) was cooked to perfection! The ribs were superb! Big thanks to chef Thomas! The beat of the gong with the mallet made meals fun :)
If there were any down moments, one was no sandy beach area with waves crashing into shore. Oh well, too many other great moments to have. Second, we were unable to schedule a dive excursion to Glovers Reef. Quite bummed. We did get to dive South Water Caye area. This wall dive was fun, ~60 feet, very nice 'river' of dark blue wrasse, small size. Many small-medium size parrot fish. Some pretty angel fish. Large Lion fish, so pretty, but a killer, wish I had my spear ;) Very cool to see a 5 foot green moray eel, coming in and out of the coral. We were sure to keep our hands to ourselves, its mouth looked menacing. There was a 2 meter nurse shark swimming all around us. Seemed to be looking for us to feed it. Very very cool. We also saw a medium size sea turtle that swam with us for 1-2 minutes. Did see some bleached coral. Cozumel, still my favorite dive.
Royal Belize -- Thank you for a wonderful, memorable, and relaxing vacation!

Island Time
Without question the perfect get away possible. My wife and I went with other couples for 5 days of the most incredible service, food and relaxation possible. All the stresses of a vacation are eliminated when you visit Royal Belize. When am I gonna eat, where am I gonna eat, how long will we wait…..all of these questions are eliminated. Start to finish the best food I’ve ever had on vaca. The activities were perfect, fishing, swimming, kayaking, sailing, snorkeling…..
The staff tended to all of our needs and continually surprised us with the most amazing appetizers and island beverages possible. When we left we felt like they were friends, family even. Oscar, Clifford, Joe, Marco Polo, and forgive me if I have left a few off. A tip of the hat to all of you, especially the kitchen chef, staff. This trip changed my outlook on things and I am forever grateful. Island time is special and until you live it you can’t portray it. Do yourself a favor and go to Royal Belize. I hope I get to go back!!

Island Paradise!
My one week stay at Royal Belize was the trip of a lifetime. Nothing can compare to having a whole island to ourselves with an amazing private chef, accommodations, a fun and friendly Royal Belize team, activities, and of course this beautiful island!
Our group enjoyed snorkeling/scuba, fishing (reef and fly), island hopping happy hour, and massages. I highly recommend all of it. We spent part of every day in the water and it was so relaxing. The meals were out of this world delicious. Every meal was carefully prepared from scratch. Chef Izzy even prepared the fish we caught on our excursion. It was hard to get back to reality when we returned home.
The Royal Belize team became like family by the end of our week. Lucky, Joe, Milan, Glenda, Oscar, Elder, Clifford, Marco, Marco Polo, and Chef Izzy are the best! Their hard work, attention to detail, warmth and friendliness made our trip unforgettable. We are forever grateful for the experience and cannot wait to go back for another visit!!
