Alpha Divers Apartments

A quick getaway to learn to scuba with my 14 yo daughter. Everything was excellent from Alpha. From the initial lengthy phone call as a novice months ago, right to the end of our stay. Picked up each day from central Larnaca, and kitted up at the dive shop. Shore dives over 2 days to get our certification. Then another day out for fun at Mussan and Cyclop. Chris is super helpful and friendly, about more than just diving which made the stay pretty chilled. He has a great team around him, we dived with Julian, with shore support by Alvina. Both brilliant, lovely people. Kit was top notch. Diving not a cheap operation anywhere but I feel like we got excellent value out of our trip. Now just back home in the UK. Grass needs mowing, it's raining and I need to go get some milk. 🤣🤣

I had so much fun diving the Zenobia wreck and a lot of nice spots in Ayia Napa for a total of 10 dives. Each member of the staff is very professional and kind. Special thanks to Bina and Julian 🤙

Where to start? From our first communication with Chris and a slight hiccup with a postponement to our originally planned trip everything about Alpha Divers was absolutely amazing. We walked down to meet the team the day before we were due to start diving and received a really warm welcome, made our arrangements for the following day and left feeling really excited. From pickups each day to amazing attention on every dive first day with Dina and followed by a mixture of diving with both Julian and Manuel we loved every single day of our diving with this awesome team. Our progression over the week was a testament to the care and attention we received from the whole team - Chris welcomed us every day with a broad smile and we really felt like we had lucked out big style with our choice of centre Both boats were amazing and all our dives were fantastic. Each day following diving we were duly returned to our hotel by the team and our kit went back with them for washing and drying. This was truly appreciated by both of us and the cleaning was so thorough that we really did not need to rewash anything on our return home. We had waited 3 years to do this trip and were not disappointed From good solid advice to patience and assistance when needed all was greatly appreciated - and yes I am looking forward to using my new wing too!!!!!! We cannot wait to get booked to return and continue our exploration of the Zenobia with this amazing outfit On an aside I have read some of the less positive reviews here and I would state this: Alpha Divers is an extremely professional and well run centre and sure you might need to help with loading and unloading of equipment but surely this is not such a big deal and sure Chris is straight talking which not everyone might appreciate but there is honesty attached to this and after all it is his house and his rules. I for one have no issue with this in the slightest and appreciate the way he does business. The team all appear very happy to stay here and for good reason Looking forward to seeing you guys again soon - along with the purple wing - of course!

As a complete beginner in Scuba, I choose Alpha Divers because they were the most reputable PADI certified shop/course on the island AND they were in Cyprus (best place to learn!). Chris and his team were sensational in teaching me the basics of Scuba which was essential for my enjoyment and safety. The team were genuinely SO lovely, talented, patient and fun- the perfect teachers. Elvina was my instructor and has now inspired a lifetime new hobby which I will forever remember my experience. Thank you Elvina! Thank you so much for opening the world of exploring water for me (70% of the world officially unlocked). Cannot wait to come back.

Great experience diving in the Zenobia. I didn't know anything about this centre and the first thing that impressed me it was the good quality of the equipments, despite I brought my own equipment, and the excellent shop. We were between guides and divers, 15 to 18 people. Unfortunately, the boat was too small for this large group, making things difficult and chaotic. But to be honest, we were happy, and we ignored this. However, the negative point since the first moment, it was the way that the owner, Chris, treats his team. We felt sorry and uncomfortable hearing shouting them, calling them names, and constantly telling them off. The team, mostly young guys, was always kind and helpful with us. No complaints. Chris was kind to me but not with everyone in my group, and upset many of us. His experience doesn't excuse his arrogance. His attitude of constant rage created a bad atmosphere in the boat. It was the same for the three days of our trip. We had to load and unload the boat, and we did it to give a hand to the guys and to make things faster. But it wasn't our obligation. We ended up with brushes and back pain because of the quantity of cylinders needed to be moved between the cars and the boat, twice a day on one occasion. I never had to carry more than my own equipment or stuff. This was very unusual. There is a lack of organisation in this regarding. The experience left a bittersweet taste to us. I hope the owner takes this as constructive feedback and understands thar the divers are customers. Best of luck to his team.
