2. CONFIRMATION

We usually get back to you within 24 hours to confirm that your booking is final

3. 48H FREE CANCELLATION PERIOD

You then have 48 hours to take care of other travel arrangements. Your credit card will only be charged after that period

Best dive sites in Bayahibe

There are approximately 22 dive sites within reach of Bayahibe. Just offshore of Bayahibe, the wreck of the Saint George is a local favorite. Intentionally scuttled, it’s ripe for exploration today. You’ll also find the exciting sites known as Viva Shallow, Dominicus Reef and Magallanes. Along the Parque Nacional del Este, you’ll find fringing coral reefs full of life at sites like Dos Cocos, La Tortuga and Aquarium Profundo. In addition, Bayahibe allows access to both Catalina Island and Saona Island. Catalina includes two dive sites, namely The Wall and The Aquarium, both of which feature lush coral gardens and abundant fish species. Saona Island boasts El Faro, La Parguera and Shark Point.

Snorkeling in Bayahibe

Snorkeling near Bayahibe is pleasant due to its mild currents. In particular, topside spotters will enjoy trips to the northeast side of Saona Island and the northern side of Catalina Island where shallow areas combine with corals and tropical fish to create a rainbow of color. The dive sites just offshore of Bayahibe called Dreams Shallow and Magallanes are also easily accessible to snorkelers.

Resort Description

Viva Dominicus Beach by Wyndham is an all-inclusive resort and dive center in the Dominican Republic. 

The Dominican Republic offers the chance to dive with dolphins, barracuda, sting-rays and nurse sharks and more amongst coral gardens, walls and wrecks. Macro life is abundant and if you are lucky you may spot a manatee. 

The resort is set on a white sand beach full of palm trees and overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Every room comes with air-conditioning, a TV and large windows.

Facilities include a large pool, Jacuzzi, children's pool, gym, spa, theatre, nightclub, and tennis courts.

Enjoy theme nights, live music and evening entertainment alongside a weekly handicraft market, water sports and yoga classes. 

How to get there

Arrival

  • The best airports to fly into are La Romana (LRM) or Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ), though you can also fly into Santa Dominica Airport (SDQ). 
  • A private transfer can be arranged (advance notice required, additional cost). 
  • Just outside of the international arrival exit there will be waiting for you a representative from NELO TOURS holding a sign with your names or last names and the final resort destination on it.
  • Please be advice that outside of the airport there are lots of people offering you transportation and most of the times they will try to pass as a NELO TOURS representative. Absolutely do not contract any transfer with anybody, look exclusively for a person holding a sign with your names or last names on it and the resort destination.
  • Check-in time is 3 pm.

Departure

  • Check-out time is 12 noon.
  • Please reconfirm your departure transfer pick up time with your hotel representative or otherwise to call the customer support number: 1-809-707-9075 between 48 and 24 hours prior to departure.
  • After check out, your return transfer will be waiting to take you back to the airport (advance notice required, additional cost).
