We usually get back to you within 24 hours to confirm that your booking is final

You then have 48 hours to take care of other travel arrangements. Your credit card will only be charged after that period

Dive Center

Description

Sipadan Mabul is a beachfront PADI Dive Resort on Mabul Island, 15 minutes' from Sipadan. 

All boat diving is from speedboats, with shaded seating, overhead shelves and a dry space for gear. For unlimited shore diving, simply hop off the end of the resort's jetty any time between 7am and 7pm. Between dives, the team will switch your tanks and after each dive your gear will be delivered to the dive shed where you can disassemble, rinse and store your gear.

This location is ideal for photographers and the boat team are available to assist you with large or multiple camera systems. Technical diving courses are available.  Come evening, lounge on the beachfront deck chairs until the last light has disappeared and then mosey up to the main house in anticipation of a great buffet meal which usually features a mixture of asian and western dishes.

 The total number of divers or visitors allowed to visit Sipadan Island is restricted to 254 people per day. 

The 1 day guaranteed trip is only applicable for divers who purchase the Sipadan package. (stay from 5 nights onward)

Each diver can only do 2 boat dives a day and must be a certified Advanced Open Water Diver.

Resort Description

Mabul Water Bungalows is a multi-award winning 4* dive resort set above clear blue waters, overlooking Sipadan.

The over-water villas are up there with the best accommodation around Mabul. With only 16 bungalows, expect an intimate holiday experience. Each bungalow hovers over beautifully turquoise shallow waters, connected by wooden pathways complimented by tropical foliage and flowers in shades of pink, orange and red. Every room comes with air conditioning, wooden furnishings, en-suite bathrooms and a large terrace looking out towards Sipadan. 

The award-winning resort boasts a spacious, open-sided restaurant and bar serving seafood, local produce and Asian cuisine. There is also a souvenir shop and an over-water spa offering aromatherapy, facials and more. Those looking for something a bit different should try out a Mandi Susu - a milk bath said to rejuvenate and moisturise tired skin. 

Sipidan and Mabul offer some world-class diving. Those in search of large marine animals will be pleased to meet the numerous giant turtles living around Sipadan. Large schools of pelagics are also often spotted, as well as 300+ species of coral and many, many macro creatures. This area alone is home to 11 rare species of nudibranch!

How to get there

Arrival

  • The closest airport is Tawau Airport. From here, the resort will pick you up and take you to the resort (this service is complimentary but advance notice is required to confirm pick up and drop of details). 
  • From Tawau Airport, you will drive to Semporna Jetty where a speedboat will transport you the remainder of the journey to the resort.
  • Check in time is 2pm. 

Departure

  • Check out time is 12pm.
  • On your departure day, the resort will return you to Tawau Aiport, free of charge. Advance notice is required to ensure that the transport is available.
