Angsana Velavaru Resort & Spa

Angsana Velavaru is located on Velvaru Island in South Nilandhe Atoll. 

Marine life in this atoll consists of black tip and white tip reef sharks, mobula, sting and eagle rays, plus turtles and many tropical fish and coral. Between May and December, you may spot a majestic whale shark.

Angsana Velavaru is a luxury private island resort comprised of 113 over-water and beachfront villas. The island is surrounded by a white sand beach, crystal clear lagoon and healthy house reef. Take in endless sunsets while sipping cocktails in the modern lounges surrounding the infinity pool, or contemporary submerged cabanas.

Enjoy Maldivian, Asian and international cuisine at one of the three lovely Maldives restaurants : Azzurro Restaurant and Bar, Funa Restaurant or Kaani Restaurant.

Arrival

• The best resort to fly into is Velana International Airport, which is a 45 minute seaplane flight from the resort. 
• Having landed, please proceed to the Angsana counter in the arrivals hall. 
• It is possible to reach the resort by seaplane (advance notice required, additional cost). 
• Seaplanes depart from Velana International Airport between 6 am and 4 pm. The latest departure is 4 pm. Please note that if you do not allow yourself enough time to make this connection, you will have to stay overnight at your own cost, and take the first flight to the resort the following morning.
• Please note that this schedule is intended to give you a guideline on timings and may change. Therefore, we recommend you confirm current schedules with us in advance of your travels.

Departure

• You can catch a seaplane transfer back to Velana International Airport.
