Komandoo Maldives Island Resort is located within the beautiful Lhaviyani Atoll in the Maldives.
65 wooden villas have been designed to blend in with the island's white sand beaches, lush greenery and crystal blue lagoon. Take a 40 minute flight from Malé and you will discover this paradise island, complete with an outdoor pool, a gym, two bars, two restaurants, a world-renowned dive center and an organic spa.
Villas feature tasteful decor, four-poster beds, private verandas and views of the Indian Ocean. In addition to the air-conditioning, ceiling fans, free WiFi and flat screen TVs included in all rooms, guests also have the opportunity to select villas complete with a jacuzzi or private stairs leading down to the lagoon.
As the only resort on the island, the adults-only Komandoo Maldives Island Resort offers a good blend of privacy, luxury and immersion in nature.
The waters surrounding Lhaviyani Atoll offer biodiverse coral reefs and ample opportunities for drift diving. Look out for butterfly fish, angelfish, barracuda, lionfish, oriental sweetlips, white tip reef sharks and lagoon trigger fish. Sea turtles can grow up to 1.5m and it's not uncommon to see mantas.

We regret to inform you that due to a recent change in ocean currents, Komandoo Island is unfortunately facing extreme beach erosion. This situation requires immediate attention to ensure the sustainability of the island as an environmentally conscious resort.
After consulting with the Environment Protection Agency of Maldives, it has been advised that prompt precautions need to be taken for the health of the island.
As a result, the resort management is left with no choice but to relocate all guests and temporarily close the resort from July 1, 2023, through August 31, 2023, in order to undertake comprehensive island restoration measures.
