Six Senses Laamu

It was beautiful and amazing! Our GEM made a big difference and was great to work with! Snorkeling was absolutely incredible with the marine biologists! There is such a diversity of life there. The food was amazing, the activities were amazing, the villa was life saving on hot and humid days. Everything was nice, luxurious, and sustainable. The staff came together to make this an incredible experience!

We just had our dream honeymoon at Six Senses Laamu from Late May - Early June this year. Without being hyperbolic, it was the best trip of our lives because of the Six Senses team, our GEM Janko, and a bit of good luck. Over a magical 12 days we got to try an array of wonderful spa treatments, experience a ton of unique and thrilling activities, taste food from every restaurant the amazing culinary team prepared, and more. We saw baby sea turtles hatch with marine biologists, drove along-side a large pod of dancing bottlenose dolphins, dove to see a 15-foot wide manta ray named Sheen, got photos taken next to sharks and huge green sea turtles… and that’s just the animals (some of which involved a lot of luck to see). We had a romantic chef-prepared picnic on a private island, watched Legally Blonde on the big screen under the stars, felt like Ironman with Jetblade Boots, learned to surf, how to hydrofoil, how to wake-board, how to cook Sri Lanken cuisine, and even made our own chocolate bars with the resort’s excellent pastry chef (p.s. you really should sell your experimental Dubai chocolate bars, they were incredible). We enjoyed spectacular cooking from a wonderful Teppanyaki chef, fine dining at Leaf, creative Asian street market-style buffets, Mediterranean night, wood-fire pizzas, and the best smash-burger ever that puts America to shame. We enjoyed fresh nigiri every morning, and taste testing 14 types of honey (Acacia was the favorite) , and 40+ types of homemade ice cream (Burnt Milk & Garden Mint were the favorites), and the team always remembered to make our Vietnamese coffee decaf. Everyone on the team seemed to know our names, what we did each day, and our food preferences. Prior to arriving in the Maldives, the Six Senses team put up with ~25 emails from us as we asked questions, made requests, and attempted to plan all our spa sessions, activities, and dining requests. When we arrived, our GEM Janko had gone through all our messages, plans, and proposed schedule. He personally ensured we got to do every single activity we wanted, put up with many changes, handled all the coordination and logistics with his team, and even generously opened Kaji for us to enjoy despite it being the off-season with fewer guests for the restaurant. Janko, we cannot thank you enough for orchestrating this magical honeymoon, we really appreciate all your hard work, attention to detail, and dedication! As a result of our experience, my parents are now planning to take a second honeymoon next year to Six Senses Laamu, where Janko can help ensure they have as magical a trip as we did. Six Senses Laamu has a remarkable team, thank you to everyone… We would recommend this resort to anyone!

Is a Paridise in the Paradise. Services espetacular. Place incredible. Activities during the hole day orherwise u decide to pause and stay in your vila. Moments of love or with the kids worth it. A blue or many kinds of blue beatiful sea I ve never seen before.

We had a fantastic holiday at Six Senses Laamu, and honestly, it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, everything was just perfect. The island has stunning crystal clear waters, white sandy beaches, and lush greenery everywhere you look. What made the experience unforgettable, though, was the incredible service. Every single staff member we interacted with was warm, friendly, and genuinely eager to make our stay as special as possible. Our GEM Mr Bruce was amazingly attentive without being intrusive and always a step ahead of our needs. The overwater villa was beautiful and spacious, private, and designed so thoughtfully with sustainability in mind. And the food… wow! Every meal was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We also enjoyed snorkeling right off our villa, seeing turtles and colorful reef fishes We left feeling completely recharged and grateful. Six Senses Laamu isn’t just a resort it’s a little slice of paradise with a heart. Can’t wait to return!
