Description

Fulidhoo Dive is the only PADI-registered 5* IDC center on Fulidhoo.

The dive center is in the heart of channel diving territory in the area. Night dives are particularly popular, especially to Alimatha house reef, where divers can encounter dozens of schooling nurse sharks (apparently one of the world's largest congregations). Being comfortable in medium-strong current is advisable for this atoll. In the channels, divers can expect to see large numbers of nurse sharks all year round, as well as abundant pelagic life.

We offer a range of equipment to divers. All our fins are the latest from ScubaPro, as are our BCDs, regulators, masks and snorkels. We also provide custom wetsuits from Aqualung and Uwatech dive computers from ScubaPro. We were among the first dive centers in the local area to be certified as a Pure Air Station by Bauer.

Resort Description

Thundi Guest House is a budget guest house on Fulidhoo Island, located just 57km from the capital Male. 

Fulidhoo Island offers access to undisturbed, indigenous vegetation as well as white sandy beaches, clear lagoons and some of the best diving sites around.

Thunid Guest House offers a range of activities for guests including sandbank visits, day fishing, night fishing, snorkeing and BBQs.

Breakfast in your room is available or via the on-site restaurant, while there's free wifi for all guests.

 

How to get there

Arrival

  • The best airport to fly into is Malé International Airport (MLE).
  • There are two main options for reaching Fulidhoo:
1. Public Ferry: Departs from Hulhumale ferry terminal in Male three times a week (Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday at 10:00 am, arriving in Fulidhoo at 1:30 pm). The return trips are on Saturday, Monday, and Wednesday at 10:30 am. The ferry takes 3.5 hours and costs just under $4 USD per person each way. It’s a budget-friendly option but note that it departs on time, so plan accordingly.
 
2. Scheduled Speedboat: Operates twice daily (10:30 am and 4:00 pm) from Saturday to Thursday, and on Fridays at 9:30 am. Return trips from Fulidhoo are at 6:30 am and 1:30 pm, with a 6:30 am departure on Fridays. The trip takes 1 hour 10 minutes and costs $40 USD each way. It’s more convenient, with airport pick-up included.
 
Important: Ensure your flight lands at least 1.5 hours before the speedboat departure. If you book a package through us, your guesthouse will arrange the transfer. Otherwise, contact your guesthouse directly to book your seats.
You can also charter a private speedboat, but it’s expensive and best suited for groups of 4 or more.
