Paradise Bay Resort

We stayed at paradise bay resort fir 12 nights and although there were a few minor issues at beginning they were rectified promptly by the staff who were all very helpful throughout the hotel One of the staff was a very helpful gentleman called Haithem as he helped us a few times during our stay and was always happy to help

We stayed here for 5 nights as a family of 2 adults and our 11yr old daughter. The positive areas of the hotel are the cleaniness, the room in fairness and daily cleaning services are great, the hotel view of the surrounding sea views etc is nice, there is a small beach close by that is connected to the hotel via an underpass, the location of the hotel itself is good as directly across from the main ferry to gozo and bus stop which has a great service. The not so good of the hotel, the breakfast isnt great and standard at best, our room 402 was facing the main road which is busy and noisy at night and can be heard from your room. The room is outdated and the heated pool area needs a revamp. There are workers in the corridor every morning sanding the walls and painting, you have to walk over paint cloths and past ladders, not the guys fault as this type of work should be done when the hotel closes or during a quiet season. Tip, if you are staying try and get a room that is not facing the road and also be prepared to travel out at night for decent food in the local areas, bus is directly outside the door 👍

Great hotel, very clean, great food and very friendly staff. The only minor issues were personal preference. Location a little remote, if you like walking around towns and cities it's a bus or taxi but plenty of availability for transport. All pools are salt water which was hard on the eyes. Just personal preference and not a criticism at all.

We just got back from a 10 day trip to Malta. The island was wonderful - as always. We did something interesting every single day using busses for transport. On arrival we were given room 432 where we spent the 1st four nights. They were HELL. At night the traffick was so loud (some nutters on a motor lbike nearly giving us a heart attack) and the wind was HOWLING like a bunch of demented ghosts! I can't describe how loud it was! The seal in the window was broken so there's ZERO noise cancellation in that room and it's simply impossible to sleep. When I spoke to the manager he thought I was a fussy, delicate Karen who's bothered by a calming sound of traffick in the distance. Dear Manager - do visit room 432 in the middle of the night when it's windy. Please do. Also - fridge broken - leaking, zero wi - fi! That room was uninhabitable. The manager refused to help, he wanted us to pay more for the Bay View room. Luckily, a Slovakian lady called Jana/Yana helped us!! She is an angel and I was looking for her everywhere to give her a tip and a present but she wasn't there when we were leaving :( She gave us a quiet room in a different spot without additional costs! Angel lady, thank you for everything. Hope they treat you well there - in a place where the manager is a fake - smiling, heartless, empathy - lacking, arrogant, big headed, stuck up, judgemental, greedy narcissist. Anyway, the food was repetitive but edible. The indoor pool was lovely and warm although the salty water made everyone's eyes hurt and a lot of kids cried because of it. Very warm though with a lovely jacuzzi. The place is in the middle of nowhere, no shops or restaurants so all inclusive is a must unless you're willing to travel to eat (what we did). No kitchenette in any of the rooms. Please visit the Popeye Village and Paradise Bay Beach, they're magical. I'm sure the manager will reply to this review in a passive-aggressive manner but that's fine. Just wanted to warn everyone and believe me - we have NEVER given a bad review, in 21 years of travelling to different countries, 8 times a year, so I think that speaks for itself. Once again thank you Jana /Yana for saving our holiday. Wishing you luck having that man as your boss, you deserve better.

I will start with the ONLY thing I would change and that is it would be nice if they provided a disco or even slightly livelier entertainment as at 55 yrs old it was still a little quiet for me in the evenings and the late buses had not started yet. Having said that I would still give this hotel 50 stars if I could and would certainly go back and stay there again though I might take the time to work out the taxi services to the nightlife first. It was spotless - I mean everywhere. They were carrying out a little construction work but it was so unintrusive that after an hour I forgot they were there. The room was incredible and cleaned and stocked everyday and as I was on the 3rd floor the views of the bay and the ferry was lovely. The private beach was great to relax by the sea with a drink. The ferry to Gozo is a few minutes walk away and the bus stop to explore is right outside the front door and so easy to go to Valetta or Mdina or really anywhere from here. We got a Tallinja card for 7 days at 25 euros each, which you can purchase from a machine in the hotel and travelled all over the place. The hotel even provides a packed lunch if you request it the day before. The staff were so friendly, they all looked genuinely happy to be working there - couldn't be more helpful - the housekeeping staff greeted you with a smile and a hello any time you passed them in the corridor. The receptionists were so helpful. Esi and the guys at the bar were so friendly and Daniela who greeted us on entering and leaving the restaurant so polite. And of course Anjar in the restaurant is brilliant at his job and an absolute credit to the hotel. And the food - well - I am a fussy eater which anyone who knows me would a-test to - but not in this hotel. The food was marvelous - I recommend the pork in mustard jus. The variety was really really good for breakfast, lunch and dinner and of course desert was on another level especially if you are a fan of chocolate cake or brownies which I definitely am. If I could have smuggled the chef home in the suitcase I would've, I was so impressed with the standard of their food. We went all inclusive and it was so so worth it. This was a wonderful holiday thanks to the friendliness and attentiveness to detail provided by this hotel. I have already recommended it to all my friends and family. Well done.
