Dive with Maui’s resident turtle population, encounter white tip reef sharks, and more on our favorite shore dive at Mala. Guaranteed turtle sightings or you get a second dive free!*
Dive Maui's best shore accessible sites with us! You'll meet at our dive shop to get fitted for gear and brief the day's sites with your instructor. The first dive is usually conducted at a site a short drive away and we do require you to have transportation. Your instructor will pick the site based on current conditions but you can expect to dive with colorful fish, fun critters, gorgeous corals, and turtles.
After the first dive we will return to our shop, change tanks and walk to the beach and enter the water for the second dive at our house reef, Mala Wharf.
Mala Wharf is a wrecked pier that has become an artificial reef with an abundance of marine life. Local honu (sea turtles) and sharks abound. You're also likely to spot schools of fish, octopus, eels, nudis, frogfish, and the occasional eagle ray or monk seal. At 30-40 feet, Mala is full of bright colors and usually has stunning vis.
Unless requested, all of our dives are conducted on 80's (standard tanks) and we allow for one hour bottom time on all dives (air permitting).
Our Shark and Turtle dives are in groups of no more than 4 divers per instructor. That means you'll get the most out of your experience in terms of safety and spotting cool wildlife.
Meet at our dive shop on Front Street. Park at our shop if parking is available or in one of the ample spots along Front Street. We are easy to spot, just next to the "Jesus is coming soon" sign.
