Arrive at Catalina Divers Supply, conveniently located at the base of the historic Catalina Casino, where you’ll check in and meet your expert dive guide. After a quick gear check and briefing on dive conditions, marine life, and safety protocols, you’ll suit up and take just a few steps to the water’s edge at Casino Point Dive Park—one of California’s premier shore diving locations.
Your first dive takes you into the heart of Catalina’s legendary kelp forests, where shafts of sunlight filter through the towering golden canopy. Glide effortlessly through the kelp, spotting garibaldi, bat rays, and curious sea lions playing in the currents. Keep an eye out for octopuses hiding among the rocks and the occasional passing leopard shark.
After a surface interval to swap tanks, hydrate, and chat about your first dive, you’ll descend again for a second dive, exploring new areas of the reef.
