PADI 5 Star Dive Center

Divecenter Yachtdiver Weissensee is situated in Techendorf, at the heart of the Nature Reserve Community Lake Weissensee, the clearest and cleanest swimming lake of the Alps.

The diving base is enclosed within our upper-class Hotel and the Apartment House. We offer boat-dive-trips (half-day or day tours), diving from our shore and transfer by van to get to our diving spots in the nature park. At our 300m² indoor-base with 3000m² beach facilities you will find everything needed for a pleasant dive holiday, for example free WiFi, diver's bar, changing cubicle, shop, air filling (200 and 300 bar, Argon, Nitrox), lounge, terrace, and equipment storage. We offer courses from beginner to instructor (ProTec, PADI, CMAS-VIT, SSI). Yachtdiver Weissensee is very well known for ice diving all over the world. Courses, Instructor courses and ice dives are daily offered daily offered from mid of December until the end of February.

Our destination is famous for combining your family holiday with your diving holiday. Ice sports on Europe’s largest prepared natural ice surface promise memorable moments. The family-friendly ski resort is ideal for both, beginners and experienced skiers. Another way to explore the wonderful region is to use the certificated cross-country skiing trails. Moreover, tobogganing, ice-diving, snowshoe hiking, winter-hiking, Nordic walking, horse-sleigh riding are attractive possibilities to enjoy the unique landscape. Lake Weissensee shines with its crystal clear water with drinking water quality and temperatures up to 25C°. It offers numerous types of water sports, such as swimming, diving, sailing, surfing, water-skiing, stand up paddling.

Requirements

Minimum age: 18+
Min. certification: Advanced Open Water Certification required
Min logged dives: +20 logged dives required
PADI Ice Diver certification or equivalent, normal physical condition and valid medical diving certificate.

What to expect

After checking in at the hotel, we will discuss your ice diving weekend with a cozy coffee in the bar. The transfer to the locations as well as lines, reel-up, carabiners, prepared and secured ice holes are ready for you! With a little luck, you will experience the legendary fried ice cream, through which you can watch the ice skaters from below! The ice will be up to 40cm long, the sun's rays dance at the bottom and fish can sometimes be seen! It will be awesome! Above all, you book a worry-free "pampering package" with us!
