Enjoy a day fun diving at Sail Rock from Koh Phangan (for certified divers only). This is undoubtedly one of the best dive sites in the Gulf of Thailand. Also often rated as one of the top dive spots in the world and probably the most famous in Thailand.
This large pinnacle (which begins above sea level) provides a superb wall dive effect. Together with a number of surrounding smaller pinnacles, Sail Rock offers an amazingly varied topography. One of the most famous features of Sail Rock is probably its chimney. Here you can swim into the rock at 18m, up through the vertical chimney and exit either at 12m or 8m.
With a variety of large pelagic fish including Barracuda and Mackerel, they form huge schools around the rock. Present on the rock itself is an incredibly varied ecosystem formed by countless species of fish. Groupers, Wrasse, Snapper, Batfish, Angelfish and Damselfish can all be seen at Sail Rock.
Numerous interesting species of marine life such as Scorpionfish, Moray Eels, Shrimps, Nudibranchs and Sea Slugs can also be found both on the wall and amongst the corals. If you are really lucky while fun diving at Sail Rock, you might get to meet one of the resident Whale Sharks!
FUN DIVING AT SAIL ROCK INCLUDES
Dive trip includes; 1 or 2 dives, all required dive equipment, dive guide, breakfast, lunch, fresh fruit, coffee, tea and soft drinks.
Free resort transfers are included from most locations. Taxi fee is payable if located in Thong Nai Pan. Transfers from Haad Yuan or Haad Tien are not available.
