East Coast Scuba & Watersports was created by divers who love the ocean and have a passion for teaching and sharing the wonders the ocean/water holds.
Whether your a certified diver or wanting to learn we're here to support you. Nova Scotia's fastest growing PADI 5 Star Dive Centre, a full service training provider and dive equipment retail sales outlet. Although new in terms of a new service provider we have been teaching diving in the Halifax area for the last 26 years.
ECSW is staffed by 9 PADI Instructors. One Course Director qualified up to Technical Trimix Instructor Trainer. One female Course Director who has a passion for technical diving that enjoys teaching all levels of the PADI program. One Master Instructor who you may have seen on Oak Island Tv series. Three instructor are Master Scuba Diver Trainer qualified; one of which is a military doctor who specializes in diving medicine.
We also have on staff experienced Dive Masters that understand the local dive environment and are able to offer excellent tips, advice or guided site tours. Unique to ECSW is that we train all open water divers in dry suit use in the pool and conduct qualification dives using the dry suit in the ocean. Many years of teaching in Nova Scotia have seen new divers endure the cold of open water certification dives without the benefit of proper exposure protection. Our courses are capped at a maximum of 6 persons per course to ensure maximum supervision and new diver enjoyment.
Our shop is located in the heart of Bedford, Nova Scotia making it a prime location, for many reasons.
You can easily access various routes to all the major diving sites (Paddy's Head or Fox Point Beach). We're very close to several great lakes for Kayaking/Paddle Boarding (Kearney Lake, Papermill Lake)and not far from Lawerencetown Beach Nova Scotia's premier Surf location. We have created a relaxing atmosphere in the shop where both divers and watersport enthusiasts are welcome to drop by any time to talk about the sport, plan their next adventure, show post adventure pictures on our big screen or simply socialize with like minded people. Your more than welcome to enjoy the view of the Sackville river at the back of the shop.
For the diver and water sports enthusiast that demands value for their money and getting the “right equipment the first time” ECSW carries only premium brand dive equipment such as ScubaPro, Santi, Fourth Element, SiTech, Kraken, Halcyon, Pulse, Akona, White Knuckle, Suspenz to name a few and is able to offer experienced advice in equipment selection.
