If your dream is to dive with the giants of the ocean, a diving excursion to the Catalinas Islands is exactly what you need. This small group of volcanic rocks is the meeting point of several species of rays, including oceanic manta rays.
The Catalinas Islands are an archipelago of around twenty rocky outcrops and islands located about 30 kilometers south of Playa del Coco.
Our boat will get you there in less than an hour! Like all offshore islands, the dive sites have a different topography with steep walls, greater depths (more than 30m) and are often exposed to strong currents.
Because of the more difficult conditions, diving in the Catalina Islands is open at more experienced divers, accustomed to drifting and deep sea diving, whose specific diving techniques are easy to learn with our instructors in the Advance course. The Catalinas are particularly known for their gigantic schools of fish, including schools of rays and many other pelagic fish which approach this islets far from the coasts to hunt or to explore a cleaning station.
You will also have the great opportunity to meet giant Manta rays (4 to 7m in diameter) that populate the area from November to May.
