We are in the delightful seaside village of Palermo which is Sferracavallo, at the gates of the Capo Gallo - Isola delle Femmine Marine Protected Area, in front of the beach called "Zotta".
The location is equipped to offer the necessary amenities mainly for educational activities and training courses. 
We do not offer Fun Dives or other excursions in the area, unless organized on reservation for the students of our classes.

Requirements

  • Minimum age: 16+
  • Min. certification: Open Water Certification required

  • Please take note: - if your last dive was more than 1 year ago, please let us know it before your arrival. We can offer you a personal dive guide for a refresh. - IMPORTANT: Ustica Island is 36 marine miles from Palermo and you need to reach the island by hydrofoil (www.libertylines.it)

What to expect

Ustica Island is 36 marine miles from Palermo, so you will need to get the hydrofoil to reach the island. 

Purchase your ticket for the early morning hydrofoil (07:00 , check timetable on website www.libertylines.it) which  will bring you to Ustica in 1,5 hours. 

You will meet us at the embarking dock - usually at 09:00  - ready to go for the One Day Dive Excursion. The equipment you asked for will be ready on board for you. 

You will embark aboard and go for the full-day trip which includes the 2 guided dives and surface interval. The boat (or RIB) might stay moored in a bay or navigate shortly for pickup services, but you have time to relax, snack, sunbath or swim in the meanwhile!

In the afternoon you'll be back at harbour and eventually have time for extra refreshment at the bar or go for a walk around the village. 

Afternoon hydrofoil will bring you back to Palermo (18:00). 

The dive excursions will be arranged by dive boat or by RIB

Suggestion: bring a snack or packet lunch with you, the day on board might be long!

IMPORTANT NOTE: The hydrofoil trip is served by Liberty Lines and it is NOT INCLUDED in our services. You will need to book your trip in advance and purchase your roundtrip ticket on the website. COMPLETE YOUR RESERVATION: STEP 1) PURCHASE YOUR HYRDOFOIL TICKET ONLINE https://www.libertylines.it STEP 2) CONTACT us by email to info@marenostrumdiving.it referring to your PADI TRAVEL reservation nr.: you will get instructions to complete your reservation with extra details and the forms to fill out (online) You will depart from Palermo's harbour with the early morning hydrofoil (Liberty Lines 7:00 or 07:30) PLEASE SEND US A WHATSAPP OR TEXT MESSAGE TO +39.0916911944 at departure, so we are sure you're coming! Once you will land in Ustica, less than a 5 minutes walk along the only road you find ahead and get to the opposite dock of Cala Santa Maria, which is our mooring dock and meeting point . There is only one way from the arrival terminal, you won't miss us! In case, give us a call.
